Transforming a local machine shop’s online presence with a brand refresh and a modern Squarespace website.
Project Information
The Client:
Horizon Machining is a machine shop located in Mount Pearl, NL with a second facility in CBS. They offer precision, custom machining services both in-shop and on-site for their customers while also offering ongoing support arrangements.
The Goal:
The goal of this website was to create a professional one page website showcasing Horizon Machining’s work while also explaining the services and offerings they have for their clientele. They had a logo, but required a fully developed brand identity to complement the new website and really help Horizon stand out against the competition. As well, to minimize the need for ongoing maintenance while retaining the opportunity to add more pages down the road, we built the site in Squarespace.

The Results
The result of the project was a masculine, professional one page Squarespace website that launches either the visitor phone or email on click of a button. By scrolling, visitors can clearly see what Horizon has to offer and their work is showcased in the photos throughout. The page follows the sales process of awareness, consideration, and action.
Highlights
Brand Identity
The bright yellow and blue colours were already chosen for Horizon. I flushed these out with a palette of dark navy that would bring out the masculine vibe and used a dark-mode style application to create an unexpected and modern look.
