About

Let’s Cross “Fix My Website” Off your To-Do List — For Good.

Since 2023, I’ve been building clean, high-converting websites that do more than just look good—they bring in leads, build trust, and make running your business easier.

I keep things focused, friendly, and efficient. No bloated timelines. No agency overhead. Just thoughtful strategy, polished design, and a clear plan from start to launch (and beyond).

Meet Laura

Hey there! 👋🏻

Dodge, office manager ↑

I’ve been designing websites since 2013—first for myself, then friends and colleagues, and now full-time for business owners like you. I run Laura Nurse Design from my kitchen table in St. John’s, NL, while my kids are at school.

I kept seeing small businesses with great services that my family loves and uses and so much growth potential not putting their best foot forward online—half-baked DIY websites, scattered tech setups, and zero conversion strategy. That sucks for all of us… So I created an approach that’s fast, focused, and rooted in smart design to help the little guys get it together AND see results.

Since launching my business, I’ve helped dozens of local entrepreneurs clarify their message, clean up their digital presence, and launch sites they’re proud to share. I’ve seen what a clear, well-built site can do—and I want that for you, too.

What It’s Like to Work With Me?

I'm not a big agency—and that’s the point. When you hire me, you’re getting direct access, clear communication, and a collaborative approach from someone who actually gets what it’s like to run a small business. My clients love that I:

  • Keep projects on track and moving fast

  • Make the tech part feel easy and doable

  • Offer strategy-backed design that works just as good as it looks

  • Know how to lead when you’re overwhelmed with decisions

What I Bring to the Table

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience running my own and others sites

  • Professional Squarespace design since 2023

  • Strategic, high-converting design tailored to service businesses

  • Efficient processes, fast turnaround, and focused work

  • Deep knowledge of what local clients care about most

Who I’m a Great Fit For (And Who I’m Not)

Perfect-fit clients:

  • Local business owners who are clear on their services and business goals.

  • People who are ready to get sh*t done, and are focussed on launching efficiently.

  • Confident delegators who are ready to hand things off, and are more than happy to let me take the reins to help them level up.

Not a match:

  • Anyone still figuring out their offer. I can’t build you a site that sells for you if you don’t know what you’re selling.

  • Folks looking for a pixel-perfect, revision-heavy, (slow) agency experience. My philosophy is about getting it launched, knowing you will need to adjust and iterate as your business grows.

  • Micromanagers or decision-dodgers (or ghosters!) who stall the process.

What’s Brewing Behind-The-Scenes?

Next up: I’m quietly working on a small collection of customizable Squarespace templates—designed to help more small business owners launch confidently (without a designer price tag). If that sounds like something you’d love, get on my newsletter list for early-bird pricing or stay tuned on Instagram.
